First day off work & posting on here....

Hey guys - well my first day on leave - does it get any better then this? :-)
BTW when we all caught up with each other a week or two ago, I think a few of you mentioned that you could read the blog but were unable to post. Anyways if you want to solve that little issue, I think if you send Michael an email (will let Michael send out whichever email address he uses) I believe he can give permission to certain email addresses to post on here now. I think this blogspot website is aligned with gmail so i might help to get a gmail mail account. I think anyone can apply for a gmail account (got to gmail.com and "sign up"....) anyways hope that helps!

Xmas Drinks and Flinging it....

Heya guys - was great to catch up with some of you last week at the rooftop bar! Thanks to Michael for organising that and to hearing what everyone has been up to! Michael in regards to your Christmas drinks invitation, unfortunately I won't be able to attend as Josie and I will be on a plane (yes Economy class) to the USa on Nov 29 - I am guessing Christmas drinks will be sometime in December!

Completely off topic, Josie and I rode our first Mountain Bike race yesterday - was down in Bundanoon (near Bowral). Called the "Half Fling", it was a 56km ride of off-road stuff - through paddocks, firetrail, dirt and super cool singletrack. We had so much fun even when we had to get off our bikes and wade through waist deep water - it literally took your breath away! We finished it in 3:37 which were pretty happy with - Josie actually placed 8th in her division (Veteran Womens - I won't let her forget that in a hurry :-) ). We were pretty sore and tired at the end of it but there was an immense feeling of self-satisfaction ;). There was also a 110km race plus a few crazy kids doing the 100 mile (160km) race!! Kudos to anyone who did that!

nice pics!

The flight looked so cool Michael! Will see you after work tonight to hear all the stories - from all accounts everyone on the flight was very socialable - much more vibrant then your standard flight!
