August 1st...............

Hello, how is everyone... busy.... I can only assume.... since no one has written.. :-)

or called me to say hello :-(

So.. August 1st.. well a lot happened that day over the years .. maybe one notable event was that Edward IV was crowned King of England. well I thought it was a memorable event !!!!

hey before our time.. but in many ways it set the course of history...

I won't bore with you with other events,, you can find something yourself that you think is relevant by checking google for August 1st.

Anyway.. all this to say I cannot make drinks that day.. I have to go to Fiji on Sunday... and no I don't need anyone to carry my luggage.. I return Tuesday and leave for LA on Thursday..
and yes you can volunteer to carry my luggage on that flight.. :-)

I am back in Australia on 19th August so if you want to invite me to drinks after that I would be pleased to accept and see you all.. :-) all three of you right lol

Missed drinks again

Oh no!!! I've missed drinks AGAIN. This is tragic. Of course the fact that I was once again in Canberra (and I thought I left there for good before I joined the CBA!) doing a delivery has nothing to do with it. SO. For the NEXT drinks... I propose Wednesday 1st August. For no good reason (but you can google it and come up with something interesting I'm sure MD!). Any takers? Any suggestion for a location? :)

Hey guys! Good to see a few more posts on the blog - I am have just come back to work after being off ork sick for the past week. Caught a pretty serious case of the flu and was pretty much flat on my back for 8 days. I don't think I have been that sick for a long time! I gotta say I was pretty bored - the fact I had no energy to do anything contributed to the boredom. I would pretty much wake up and eat breakfast then just much go back to bed. The same pattern occurred for lunch and dinner, with a few attempts to watch daytime TV (honestly daytime TV is terrible!). I think its pretty easy to see why I was bored! The wife was sick too so we ended up having to live off Lean Cuisine meals as we (or rather my wife) was too exhausted to cook. I can now understand what it is like to have chronic fatigue - no fun at all!

Anyways enough of my whinge. Don't think I will be able to make the drinks on Thursday as we have a Financial Year Party on with the bank. Will def. try and make a "cameo" apperance though :-) Am planning on going to the snow this weekend - its forecat to dump 40-50cm this week so this weekend should see some quality snow on the resort. After my previous week of sickness and boredom, I am really looking forward to it!

airports.... and the next round of drinks.........

Ok, Hi everyone.. how many is everyone I still wonder :-) but... I do read the blog every now and again... and there was SD's piece.. which motivated me to write.. again... and with the "when are the next drinks" question...... yes what a good idea..

so thinking that I may be in the country for at least the next three weeks.. am in US from early August for a few weeks.. I thought we should celebrate July 14th.. if you have forgotten the reason just check google.. :-)

drinks on me for all who can tell me from which airport did I take this picture..... :-) Clue.. one of my favourite airports... and I have two favourites, and it is not Singapore :-) ha ha

I would like to suggest the bar on the 4th Floor of the Hilton.. unless I hear otherwise.. see you there on 12th July.. I cannot do 13th or 14th as I won't be in Sydney.. but hey lets celebrate early. email me or call to say you will be there.. I hate drinking alone :-) but I could probably handle the Hilton on my own :-)

Is everyone really gone?

M I'm sad to hear you're thinking you're talking to yourself... I do read the blog quite a bit, only I don't write that often cause I'm too boring :) My big news - I have had laser eye surgery and my eyes are healing up really well. I now have better than 20/20 vision and I DON"T HAVE TO WEAR GLASSES YAYAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went to push my glasses back up yesterday only I wasn't wearing any. Old habits die hard.
I'm not off overseas and I haven't got any photos of crazy forreign cyclists, the best I can say is tomorrow I'm driving to Canberra to deliver a sculpture. Oh, and that my other half finally bought himself a new motorbike so I've been waiting for all this rain to clear so we can go riding (and I can properly test out my new vision).
Other than that things are quite quiet. i hope everyone is still well and still staying in touch. Assuming we aren't in the middle of the worst storm in 40 years in Sydney I will do my very best to actually be there for the next drinx. When is it?
